On behalf of a family property company, we were instructed to report on the upcoming rent review of a restaurant in the affluent Hertfordshire market town of Berkhamsted.
Our research led us to believe that there was a very good argument for a rental uplift in the outstanding 2022 review as well as the upcoming 2027 review. A deal was therefore structured to settle both the outstanding and forthcoming reviews, whilst also agreeing a reversionary lease meaning greater security of income for the landlord and securing the site for the restaurant chain for the foreseeable future.
